ACROSS LITE PUZZLE: [ THEMELESS MONDAY]
PROGRAM: [Across Lite]
There’s been a deluge of puzzles lately, probably too many to keep track of. So let’s go through a checklist just to be sure you’ve caught them all.
The Visual Thesaurus contest went up during the long weekend. Get to it, please.
Oh yeah, speaking of contests, I’m running my own one here. Entries must be received by Wednesday.
If today’s Themeless Monday isn’t enough, I had last Friday’s New York Times puzzle. Get it here: [Across Lite] [PDF].
And I will leave you with a non-crossword puzzle, one courtesy of my buddy Father Abraham. Whilst thumbing through an old book, he found what he’s describing as an “unencodable code” (I, personally, would have used “unbreakable, but that’s just me splitting hairs). Anyway, Abe’s offering up some swag to whoever decodes it, so there’s that. And I’m sure that the handful of BEQ.com regulars who work for a think tank can nail that sucker quickly.
Share the puzzles. New ones (yes ones plural, a whole mess of puzzles this week), on Thursday.
My timer didn’t start, so I finished & it took a while, but I don’t know exactly . . .
There is some super stuff in this puzzle.
Had a lot of trouble with this one- not in the place you’d guess probably. Not sure why other than having the Mondays.
Couldn’t fool me! What I’m wondering is if it’s worth joining Google+… Facebook fulfills my social networking needs just fine.
You are a sick man making these sick puzzles, BEQ. And I mean ‘sick’ in the complimentary way. Nicely done.
Great puzzle. One of the harder ones recently, for me. The northwest was murder. My first thought on reading 4-Down was that it’d be a great clue for Google+, but then I didn’t actually put it in until I was basically done. Might never have finished if not for the wrong DAMNED and then wild guesses on 1- and 2-Down. And I had COLUMBUSCLIPPERS stuck in my head the whole puzzle, despite that being a Yankees affiliate with far too many letters…
