Your requests for more pictures of Tabitha have not gone unheard, and like all proud papas, I am happy to oblige. And frankly, it’s hard not to run pictures of her. If I’m going to get her into acting, however, I’ll have to teach her not to always look at the camera. Unless she’s doing something like SNL or whatever.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Took me a while to fix 15A because of my engineering degree! Next time, make a pun on the word “potential” instead.
This year probably just about marks my 35th year in solving XWPs. Some time in ’77 I took up pencil and decided to make an important life decision that would reverberate for 3 and a half decades. It almost coincides with the nascence of the ACkPiT. And about one year later, some puzzle made up of 9 squares which in turn were made up of 9 more squares that required the solver to fill them in with the 9 digits in the correct places. I saw that thing come and go then and several decades later it becomes a national obsession which we would call Sudoku. I could go on but I’ll conclude by saying that I don’t ever have regrets over that life decision made in Millington, Tenn. + There were a few lacunae of nonsolving in the late 1980s cuz I was in the Army then and stationed in West Germany, but that’s about it.
I thot so! I put down AMPERES and it didn’t register. Voltage refers to the potential in a circuit. Resistance, measured in Ohms, is the third part of the equation.
Gotta learn more of those Star Trek names…Borg looked right for WAY too long.
Great pic, BTW…
Extremely cute!
Future heartbreaker!
Awwww! and Owwww!
(Reaction to your pic, and reaction to messing up and finally figuring out 20-Down, respectively).
Great stuff. Don’t know how you do it all, but glad you do.
You should be outta the woods and enjoying Miss T very much these days. She is certainly looking around and taking it all in! BTW this is the age for taking the obligatory naked-on-tummy and naked-in-bath photos with which you will embarrass her at some future date. You don’t want to miss out on any of these priceless parenting milestones.
Finally catching up with a backlog of puzzles, and this was fantastic (with the minor blot of the 15A clue for me, too). Most enjoyable themeless I’ve done in a while.
in addition to 15A, 19A is also wrong as it should be CrAwley… otherwise great
