Two more puzzles coming tomorrow, which I’ll be posting here once they go live. I’m sure y’all can’t wait.
I wanted to try to make an Easy puzzle today. You’ll probably have to settle for an Easium, as the theme’s probably a shade abstract for a straight up Easy. But on the whole, I think it works. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that my buddy was for a very short while an answer in the puzzle. Alas, I couldn’t make it work.
Share the puzzle. Updates tomorrow. New one on Monday.
UPDATE: As promised, New York Times puzzle: [Across Lite] [PDF]. New Visual Thesaurus crossword is here
On the last A, I put down DOOGIE. Forgot that HOWSER was somewhat similar in spelling. As for the middle name, Gjd____________ was the name of an obscure and short-lived comic book (one-shot actually) that featured art by Basil Wolverton. I suspect this 1973 production was somewhat an underground type of CB. Came across it while looking thru a 1982 edition of Overstreet’s CB Price Guide. You could go thru this book concerning collectibles hours on end. Don’t worry, I double-checked on the spelling of that title. Don’t know how it’s pronounced.
