New York City residents, be on the lookout for some random looking Wacky Wordy puzzles around lunchtime. If you stumble upon them, and you’re the first to suss out what phrase is being represented cryptically, you just might win yourself a c-note. This website was recently brought to my attention documenting not only the puzzles but also the winners. It’s a great site, and a great gimmick. One that I wished I thought of first, frankly. I can’t say I’m surprised though, because the brains behind it all is one of puzzledom’s coolest dudes.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
46D Isn’t this spostabe SPIKELEE? Anyway, glad this one didn’t take a 36D. 18A was great! & MN comes from the cult Devil Girls From Mars. It was the robot that assisted Nyah in her dealings with the humans. Alas, only one Devil Girl in this movie altho Adrienne Corri could qualify. & Another great 1 I’m surviving.
@James: Spike was the director of this student film. His classmates Ang Lee and Ernest Dickerson were assistant director and cinematographer, respectively, according to Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe's_Bed-Stuy_Barbershop:_We_Cut_Heads
