THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
PROGRAM: [Java]
Gotta keep this one brief as Tabitha’s music classes start up in (looks at watch) one hour. Yeah, so it seems that all of my brainwashing playing different music for her has struck a chord, because she’s All About Music right now. In fact her latest favorite book is “Maisy’s Band.” I think I’ve read it to her about 30 times last week. Anyway, it’s a pop-up book wherein a bunch of anthropomorphic cartoon animals rehearse for a show and the electrifying conclusion is the concert itself. Riveting stuff, for sure. Anyway, after finishing it once last week I asked Tabitha if she wanted to start a band, and she confidently said “yes.” When asked what she was going to play, she told me “Dada’s ‘tar” (guitar). Needless to say, somebody must have cut up an onion in the room at that very same moment as I was tearing up.
Gotta run. Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
jada and shIrona and ana oh my!
12D was solved entirely from the acrosses. He really kisses his bicep?
How is crack pot VIAL and Folk art TAT?
Otherwise I enjoyed this puzzle a lot even though it was a tough one. And really loved “Place where people tend to show up late.”
What a cool book! Tabitha has good taste 🙂
Uh – crack comes in a vial (not that I have any experience thereof(?
And tattoos are found on many folk?
Thanks Carol. Folk art makes sense and I guess crack pot does but it seems a stretch.
Unfortunately – he really does that (not much in the last 2 games however). Was glad to see that clue – that was my entry point into the east side of the puzzle!
15 Across clued as a character in “Princess Bride” rather than a 17th-century architect? This is so very wrong. The world is nearing its end.
Am I the only one who had MCgEE COLINgAEPERNICK?
Still, a lot better than last week’s butchery.
You succeeded in mis-directing this solver with the clue for 19A. It did not help that I entered a different French word at 4D, meme.
Thought the clue for 12-Down might reference him favoriting critical tweets… http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9718946/colin-kaepernick-san-francisco-49ers-fueled-twitter-criticism
And there’s another PeterW commenting here? What are the odds!?
