Got an amusing piece of mail in the mail this past Saturday. I gave it a good minute or so of thought as to whether or not I could wrangle a theme out of the howler of the typo. Because that’s how I roll. See word/phrase, wonder what I can do with it. But alas, I just don’t think the envelope’s laugher works without that amazing space and period. That’s crosswords for you. How often can you say that a joke doesn’t translate because of punctuation and spacing issues? Not that many, I’d say.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Shades of Ed Wood. Gotta love 28A.
Just in passing: you blacked out your address, as is good and proper, but you left in the Intelligent Barcode above it. The USPS has an online tool to decode that into Delivery Point ZIP Code. I don’t think it’s trivial to map that to an address or set of ICBM coordinates, but I suspect someone could do it. Just thought I’d mention it.
Could someone please explain 10A? If “HORSE” is an acronym, I was unable to find out what it means.
Horse is basically 2 people trying to make a shot the other person can’t make.

I think you have a small typo in the clue for 26-Across. Isn’t it “preceder,” not “preceeder”?
Still, fun puzzle.
Miss Chanandler Bong
PHI crossed with UNDINES?? Could be any vowel at the I. *Plus* the random version of QADHAFI there (how many spellings of his name are there?) — that was a terrible area. Also, French grammar incorrect on MIDI clue (should be l’heure dejeuner). And, how is “OK settler” not SOONER? ALLMALE is obviously correct, and BOPPER makes sense, although it isn’t anything I’ve ever heard of, but BOOMER? This puzzle had junk all over it, IMHO
ALLMALE??? What is that?
