Happy Thanksgiving everybody. And don’t say I didn’t give you the bird today. But seriously, how great is this holiday? Turkey and pecan pie? And loads of both of ’em? Great stuff. I fully intend on making a buffoon/glutton of myself at the dinner table. I do this every year. Recall, if you will, the horror that was Tabitha lifting up my shirt and laughing at my belly as I was eating my sixth slice of pie just twelve months ago. Good times. So yeah. Humiliating moments are almost definitely forthcoming. And if they warrant, I’ll share them here.
Thanksgiving also marks the start of my year end drive. If you like what you see here, I ask that hit up the tip jar if you can. Every person who can donate between now and January 2, 2014, will get two exclusive brand new, never before published BEQ puzzles: one bonus themed 21x and one bonus themeless 21x. That’s two Sunday puzzles by your favorite constructor whose name doesn’t rhyme with “Gatwick Ferry.” It’s like getting a super-sized portion of the crosswords you dutifully do on this site every week. Get them today so you’ll have an excuse why you’re not mingling with the family this holiday weekend.
One randomly chosen donor will receive one of my books as well as a subscription to the American Values Club puzzle. What are you waiting for?
Like I always say, the puzzles on BEQ.com will always be free. Squadoosh dollars and invisible cents. That is my promise to you. Never, ever will there be a paywall, and never ever should you feel obligated to pay. And I realize that times are tough right now and not everybody can contribute. And that’s fine too. But even a $10 tip would go a long way to keeping this site running smoothly.
Again, Happy Thanksgiving to all. Share the puzzle. Hit the tip jar. New one on Monday.
an immodest proposal: for the 100th anniversary of Arthur Wynne’s contribution to Western Civ, do 50 to 100 crossword puzzles all throughout the live-long day (December 21,2013)…..
This must be a good puzzle. I thought I was having some difficulty while solving yet the time was among my best.
James – I like the idea. And December 21st is a Saturday too – so no pesky work to keep most of us away from solving.
