THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
PROGRAM: [Java]
Love this grid pattern. Slap two great answers at 19- and 51-Across, connect them with another winner at 20-Down, the rest is (relatively) portioned off for maximum fun entry placement. Throw in an opportunity to use a clue I’ve been holding onto for seven years (that’d be 3-Down), and we’ve got ourselves a winner. Call it the Old Faithful approach of puzzlemaking.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
I can’t access BEQ’s puzzles now that I’ve installed java 7-55.
Tried all the combinations on the Exemption List.
Can anybody advise me as to how I navigate around this?
Thanks.
It probably depends on what browser you’re using – and even then it can depend on the broswer settings.
I have that version of Java installed and I’m not having any trouble running inside Mozilla Firefox (v29.0.1). In Tools/Addins/Plugins you can control whether the Java plugin is ‘activated’…maybe it’s not? If you’re using a different browser, maybe there’s a similar setting?
Great puzzle. 51A is my favorite entry. 1D, 27D, and 19A are new to me – I love learning from the puzzle.
