THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Once again, we’ve been spending Christmas here with the inlaws. I love England, it’s a trip. Where else can you go to hear David Bowie and Elastic get played in grocery stores while you shop? Great craft beers at every pub? You bet. And of course they publish pages and pages and pages of puzzles in their Christmas editions of all the newspapers. Tabitha got into the spirit. Here she is tackling The York Press’s jumbo cryptic. Good times. I think she agreed with me that it was a bit on the easy side, had too many unchecked letters, and that a large number of the clues were either broken or were missing anagram indicators entirely. Still, good to see that she’s taking after her old man.
This is the last week of the BEQ December drive. Thanks to all who were able to keep it chugging along. It means an awful lot. Like Bryan Adams sang: “you know it’s true, everything I do, I do it for you.” You think I’m making these puzzles for Tabby to draw all over? Nonsense! So again, thanks for all the generous support. Reminder: there’s no obligation to tip, just tell a friend or two about the site if you can’t tip. But all of those who can give $10 will get three bonus BEQ puzzles and a chance to win some books and subscriptions to more indie puzzles. Whew. It’s like a second Christmas, maybe.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
It is always heart warming to see small children emulating their parents, especially girls taking after Dad and boys copying Mom. Down with gender stereotypes! Of course, puzzling and constructing is (potentially, ideally) gender free.
she shows a lot of confidence using a pen.
I truly enjoy this site, great puzzles, & I appreciate your steady effort. I’d like to contribute some dollars. I dont have a credit card or a paypal account. Can you send me bank transfer info?
