One of the many great rhetorical questions in a puzzle maker’s life (just after “where did I put all these piles of hundred dollar bills because I need something to light my cigar?” and just before “does this t-shirt make me look fat?”) is “can I make a puzzle about this?” Where this is typically either a word, phrase, concept, typo, mondegreen, whatever. You get the picture. I suppose it’s possible, but finding that “fun” component in said piece of inspiration is where the challenge is. Still, potential theme ideas can strike anywhere. In fact, just yesterday, Tabby and I were having a playdate with one of her friends, and in the friend’s house, there was a dictionary (the adult one, not the kid’s one) flipped open to a page, and one picture on said page caught my eye. I snapped a pic and saved it to my Evernote list of “to-be-developed themes.” Can this become a theme? Stay tuned.
So yeah. Today’s puzzle came from that question “can I make a puzzle about this?” And sure as shooting, it looks like I could.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Played closer to easy here, probably owing to familiarity with the subject matter.
Fun. Thanks.
What about me?
Classic Qthulhu zaniness. Loved it. Thanks.
