THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
72 worder today. That’s the upper limit for themeless word count, and as such it is easier to cram full of good stuff. Pretty sure almost every section has at least one entry that is fun. Is there a mini-theme in there? Probably not, but if you believe in the axiom of “write what you know,” and what you know about me, you can expect certain things in the grid. Anyway, for those that care, the combo answer/clue at 12-Down is my favorite. But you probably coulda guessed that already.
Thanks to all who wrote in about potential diagramless puzzles. Expect an announcement soon. Get yr. checkbooks ready.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Latin Lesson:
Simmons College gradS are alumnAE, feminine plural.
OceanariUM, a neuter word, is singular. OceanariA is plural, so the answer to Waterworld should be Oceanarium.
Blew through this one until the SE corner. That took as much time as the rest of the puzzle.
Simmons College graduate school is coeducational. Hal Clement, noted sci-fi writer, and Winston Tabb, former head of the Library of Congress are listed as graduates of distinction.
Use of a 17A puts money in the 12D. We had a quarter fine for the use of particularly egregious language at my former office and made a lot of money over a year. Then we bought pizza for all.
Agree that the SE was really tough. Even 47D clue is a little fuzzy to me.
It is a nice and interesting sharing by the admin which I am gonna pass through to my dad after my https://www.goldenbustours.com/buy-2-get-1-free-bus-tour-vacation-packages-deal-promotion.html
