EXPIRED LINKS: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
This was completely not intentional, but the theme answers for this grid appear in the reverse sequential order in which I thought of them. I don’t believe that’s ever happened before. What’s also unimaginable to me is that the title wasn’t the impetus for the puzzle. The seed of the idea really was the answer at 55-Across and then me wondering if there were enough examples to make it fun. And yet, this crossword couldn’t be called anything else but “Expired Links.” I love it when that happens. It’s almost like this was meant to be. Enjoy.
Well, that was quick. It looks like I will be in fact, making some diagramless puzzles later this month. My Kickstarter reached its goal this morning. So it’s no longer a risky bet. Click on the link and sign up and you know you’ll be getting some diagramless crosswords from your favorite puzzlemaker. Beef up your order if you’d like to get in on some other goodies. I know you’re asking me, will there be a stretchgoal? Yes. Yes there will be. Stay tuned. But before I go, thanks to everybody who backed it so far.
Share the puzzle. Sign up for the diagramlesses. New one on Monday.
I thought the site was dropbox, not droppbox. Unless I’m missing something here…
Unlike the others, that one needed the extra “p” for the past tense. I don’t think the title refers to the letters “ed” but just to past tense. It’s a minor infelicity.
Thanks, Norm, this makes sense. I just noticed that all the others put the “ed” in between the word fragments of the sites. I hadn’t realized that it was just the tense and not the “literal-ness” (is that a word? Probably not) of the specific sites.
