THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
As if I needed another excuse to gush about my daughter, Tabitha dropped this gem on us this past Saturday morning. This was the final revision of a board game of her own creation. Her first-ever board game. I didn’t catch the name exactly. Now that I think about it, I’m not entirely sure it has a name. And it is a bit of a rip-off of Candyland. But who cares? Her proud papa loved it. That brown circle on a toothpick? That’s the spinner. Note the clearly marked game pieces color-coordinated with the player’s favorite colors. And how about that game board? It’s got some traps that make you lose turns (those would be the orange X’s along the path), and (count ’em) two secret tunnels. They’re so secret, only Tabitha knows where they are on the board. I couldn’t be prouder of this munchkin.
Anyway, 60 worder on deck for today. Hope you enjoy it.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Here’s my advice on raising Tabitha right: have her look at one of those Shoney Big Boy versions of the Mendeleyevan PERIODIC CHART OF ELEMENTS. 5 years from now, she’s going be creating a game out of that. Just you wait and see. &&&& The radioactive aspect of it: What could possibly done with that. It amazes me to know end that no one has ever made a game out of the PCoE.
Good puzzle.
Great puzzle. Creative daughter.
Learned two new words – 22A and 45A. My wife and I used to stack the deck while playing Candyland so our kids would win quicker and the game would be over. Not proud, just confessing.
