Always tough when you have to come up with a title for a puzzle, when you’ve got the note-perfect title as an answer/reveal in the grid. But, these things happen, sometimes. Enjoy.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
An especially nice and smooth puzzle (though I Naticked at 50A/45D)
I love it when I forget what day it is and then your puzzle arrives! Too many days I am impatiently waiting. Easier than medium, though.
It’s ok I printed out a Marching Bands I hadn’t done. All is not lost.
Finished with no mistakes. Have no idea what the title means in regard to the puzzle, and how my answers made any sense.
The gimmick is moving the “on” from a common phrase to get a “crossword answer.”
E.G. – “tonal pattern” moves the “on” to make “talon pattern.”
“missing person” moves the “on” to make “missing person.”
“honest living” moves the “on” to make “heston living.”
You are “transferring” the “on” to make something else; hence “ON-site transfers.”
Hope this helps…
OOPS – correcting myself – “missing person” moves the “on” to make “missing perons.”
Thx had trouble parsing the Heston clue.
This might not apply to this crossword but STOP putting two letters in one box or that other crazy bullshit
