THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
This time next week, we will have a winner of BosWords. Could that winner be you? Who knows? There's only one way to find out, sign up today and I'll see you at the competition this Sunday the 6th. A free boat to the ACPT is at stake, and seeing that Stamford, Connecticut, is, in fact, a port city, that free boat would make a suitable transportation choice to next year's tournament. What are you waiting for?
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
The clue for 14D doesn’t work in the “some A are B, not all B are A” kind of way.
It doesn’t have to. This is a crossword puzzle, and it’s a fine clue.
Great clues today! Especially 57D! Magna res est!
Thinking 8D referred to staff, I thought that clue could never pass the test of time.
@Dorogaya, thanks for the arrogant reply. Obviously, this is a crossword.
I still maintain that the clue was poor. If this is a good clue by your standard, then MALE or HUMAN or ORGANIC or SENTIENT would have been an appropriate answer too, had there been enough spaces.
this is great work!! The very best means to learn anything for oneself is to experiment; recommendations on its own is fixed at ideal.
Dorogaya is right. This is a crossword puzzle. Clues are not definitional. But a better version of the clue would be “Like a queen, maybe”.
