THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Our printer ran out of toner last week and instead of you know, going down to Best Buy and getting a replacement (or better yet, ordering one on line so it just appeared on our front stoop), we just left the thing idle. I mean, big deal, it’s a printer. How often does one actually print things out nowadays? Turns out I print things out constantly. Lately I’ve been solving weird British cryptics and lunatic fringe variety puzzles almost exclusively, and last I checked almost none of them are available for on-screen solving. So yeah, it feels a little old school, but here we are. My pockets are usually stuffed with papers with crosswordy-type puzzles on them. I’ve mentioned all of this before. None of this is new. Anyway, so last week, printer-free BEQ meant puzzle-free BEQ … and it was an interesting stretch of time. At first I thought I would have enjoyed the break. And I guess that did happen somewhat. But by the end, okay day two, I could feel the withdrawal kicking in.
What can I say? I’m an addict.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thanksgiving.
