CLOWNING AROUND: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Today’s puzzle was an attempt at a Reagle-esque theme, but as one can tell, it’s hard to do what Merl did so effortlessly. But then again, parody is the sincerest form of flattery. So, enjoy the puzzle, and think back to Merl, will ya.
While I’m here, regulars to the site know that twice a year I ask for a little help to keep the site chugging along (two puzzles a week, totally free). And when I say totally free, I mean it. I get the odd email now and then asking “how do I subscribe to your puzzles?” The answer’s always: you can’t! Just take ’em. Solve ’em. Enjoy ’em. If you hate today’s puzzle, there’s another one coming a couple days later. It’s all good. Having said all that, money does help with the picayune things in life. So, if you’ve been enjoying the puzzles for 2019 so far, please consider a $15 tip (PayPal or Venmo @TheBEQ preferred; email me if neither works for you). I’ve got two Sundays as a thank you. Did something random this time around and made both of them left right symmetry for no other reason than to give it a shot. Oh, and one randomly selected donor will get free admission to Boswords. The appeal ends on Independence Day, by the way. And, again, thanks to all who can give.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
The 25A clue should be [Sells …] rather than [Sell …].
