If Brendan had not mentioned that there was a theme, I’d have taken this as weakly-themed verging on themeless.
Now that I’ve Googled it, I see that I had never heard of Samin Nosrat’s book (nor the Netflix series) before. I guess that’s what happens when you’re out of the loop for 3 years.
Ditto.
Late doing this puzzle and I too never heard of Samin Nosrat. But salt, fat, acid and heat are the core elements of cooking. So, I got the theme after 30 seconds puzzlement.
