This is how this one came about. Title first, which suggested the theme. Then stunned stupefaction that that were enough answers to fit said constraint. Finally all the boring stuff like grid construction and cluing. But, man, that moment when the theme went from “could I do this?” to “holy shit I can do this!” was a great great feeling. Enjoy.
Shameless plug: The Boston Typewriter Orchestra was blessed to provide the entire soundtrack to a charming documentary called “The Blunderwood Portable,” about the creation of a massive typewriter objet d’art first for Burning Man, then for a sculpture park in Mexico. I was about to correct you on your clue for 37D to say that it reveals your age, but just to be sure I googled and was gobsmacked to discover that the high score is back down to 1600 ever since 2016. I guess they dropped the essay section.
