A SHOW OF HANDS: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]

What can I say? Sometimes you come across an idea for a theme (say, this one), and then you come up with a clue of the year candidate to go along with it (you know). I love those moments. Would that happen every damn week. Here’s hoping.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year seven have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
The clue for 19A still has me giggling!
Ok now, out ofthe three hardest crossword puzzles of the week, you construct two of them and Stanley Newman does the third one which was recently referred to as the Saturday S****er. Now he’s discarded that name and now subtitles the puzzle as the “Themeless Saturday”. I’m to take it that he has given into to some cancel culture because he believes this to be a crude slur referring to people who had to got thru some surgical amputation. But I understand the need to get rid of this name, and Stanley just wanted to be considerate, that’s all. The Puzzle’s going to retain its usual difficultness.
I saw the title and said “Rush!” and was so happy to scroll down and see the link.
Yay, Brendan! And thank you for putting the reveal toward the end…really fun puzzle. I like the grid for a 14 15 14, too.
