THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Another Themeless Monday, coming at you. This one has possibly probably my favorite seed answer of 2021 so far. It’s going to be tough to be, methinks. Enjoy.
The summer drive is already underway. Quick reminder: the site is always free. There are no subscriptions, and you are by no means obligated to give me any money. But, if the puzzles have brightened up your ’21, please consider a small tip to keep the puzzles chugging along. (PayPal or Venmo @TheBEQ preferred, email me for other suggestions). Everyone who chips in will get two Sunday-sized bonus puzzles (one themed, one themeless). Long form appeal here. Thank you to all who have given already.
While you’ve got that PayPal opened up, please consider throwing a couple bucks Peter Gordon’s way. He and Crossword Jesus Frank Longo are making very enjoyable petite pangram puzzles. Daily, too. Should be a load of fun.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year seven have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
It *was* hard, but I loved it. I didn’t know 37 Across, but what a neat phrase! And, of course, 5 Down…what so many of us would like, I suspect. And duh on me, but I also didn’t know 58 Across was a rescue breed! Cool puzzle, Brendan…thank you!
I wondered about 58A also. There are rescue groups for most every breed, so why this one in particular? Most of the dogs in our local shelter are bully types, or recently German Shepherds. (Hint – the answer is neither of these. Only 247 more breeds to try 😉
It’s the dog that’s doing the rescuing in this clue, not being rescued. 58A dogs were used as search-and-rescue workers at the WTC, for instance.
