THINK FAST: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Had a nice lunch with speed solving legend/”Word Play” star Al Sanders yesterday. No, he didn’t wolf his food down, he took that bit very leisurely. It would be pretty strange if he did everything really fast. Anyway, great times seeing people again! Man, that’s the thing I missed the most last year. Now, rumor has it that Al is looking to begin constructing puzzles. If true, look out world.
Note on today’s crossword: I went back and forth about calling this one “Themeless Thursday,” but instead I went with the title you see above. So, if you think that’s a hint on the challenge ahead of you, 1,001 apologies.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year seven have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Clues 1A, 37D, and 40D are so……driving me crazy. But I eventually make it thru.
Nice picture, Al. You too, Brendan. Also, a nice THEMELESS puzzle! 🙂
Me and the “new guard” of constructors have taken to calling puzzles like these, um, themeys, or themelets, or whatever.
