GOING TOO FAR: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Going Too Far for y’all today. Might be better on paper, but I won’t get in the way if solving it digitally is more your thing. Here’s the instructions again for those unfamiliar with the form:
Thirty-three of the answers in this crossword are too long and won’t fit in the spaces provided. Each of these answers will either begin or end in the gray square immediately before or after it. When the puzzle is done, all the gray squares will have been used exactly once, and the letters in them (reading left to right, line by line) will spell out a quote by Banksy.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Joon Pahk) and Marching Bands. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Didn’t the NYT puzzle mania section just have one of these a couple of weeks ago? Seems familiar.
Got the quote figured out. Funny. But can’t explain the first “t” with the clueing. Anyone?
The first T is the bottom letter of 9 Down – “ascenT”. Or so I’m guessing…
And the “T” is also in the gray square just to the right of 28A “tenors”.
Aha! The first T as in (softly) was the grey square of 3 Down, scaT.
Next time I’ll print the puzzle so I can see my notes! Thanks for helping shake it loose!
Oops, I misread your original post. You are correct that the first T in the puzzle is below the “Sca” in 3D.
