THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
The old “Robyn Weintraub special” grid in effect today. Hope you enjoy it.
LAST REMINDER: The summer drive is wrapping up this week. In fact, this is the last time I’m going to be mentioning it. In case you forgot, the puzzles here on this site are always free. No subscriptions. F-R-E-E. Enjoy them. However, if you’ve been enjoying yourself these last couple (okay, six months), and you’ve got some money burning a hole in your pocket, a little tip helps keep the lights on at BEQ.com. Suggest donation of $15, please and thank you, through PayPal or Venmo preferred, but there’s always Zelle, checks, hell I’ll take crypto. Get in touch But again, only if you can. Feel free to ignore this request.
One randomly selected donor gets a book of mine. You can read the long-form appeal here.
The usual reminder: Marching Bands year TEN began last month! You should sign up today if you haven’t already! Click the above link for a sample puzzle and how to sign up.
There’s also The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Joon Pahk) if you still need more content.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Check 41A
Yes, my thoughts exactly.
And 35A?
Brendan, make the 41A clue agree with the answer and maybe rethink your clue for 35A, but otherwise, this puzzle is a gem!The entries and other clues really sing — thank you so much!
Agree about 41A but 35A is definitely a thing, google it
I think they’re referring to the extraneous “a” in the clue.
41A is not a new thing for BEQ. He does it all the time so it must be deliberate. Love his puzzles but not that particular feature/trick.
Also can’t stand his Previous/Next idiosyncrasy. For 99.9999% of the world, Previous is the one that comes before and Next is the one that comes after but not in BEQ’s world. Again, no doubt deliberate.
