Who wants some more appointment puzzles? Yeah you do.
First up, the Wall Street Journal crossword has finally gone daily. 75% of the first week’s puzzles is by Crossword Jesus himself Mike Shenk, though I doubt he can keep that pace up. The puzzles themselves are definitely on the easy side of the equation, however, the fill and the fun factor are off the charts. I mean, there’s not a single moment where I went “ick” while solving them. If there was any doubt of the blasphemous title bestowed upon Mike, well, prove me otherwise and find a blemish on those puzzles. (FWIW Jefferey Haris made the other puzzle, and that one again, not a single false note anywhere to be seen.) Honestly, the only negative I have with it so far is that you have to print out the puzzles, but if that’s the worst feature, I think we’re doing okay.
My man Joon Pahk finally launched his own puzzle website a couple weeks ago. While Joon is certainly a top flight regular crossword constructor, he’s going the variety-only route on this site: mostly Rows Gardens augmented by other varieties made by him and his friends. So that’s two more puzzles you should be doing. This one’s not free, but for the price of a beer and a pizza (okay, like two beers), you can be entertained for a year. Make it happen.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Can’t figure the answer to “2 letters” at the moment. Could someone be kind enough to explain. Thanks.
Letters that a 2-year-old knows, I think.
On a telephone, the letters that are associated with the “2” button are “ABC.”
Thanks. I realized that “2” must be a number associated with those letters but a phone never crossed my mind.
that makes more sense
