THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Oh this is definitely a themeless puzzle, no doubt, and from what I can gather a rather challenging one. Good for the day off! Amirite? Anyway, I couldn’t help but notice that there’s a couple two-three football-related clues in there. I mean, there’s probably a couple two-three football-related clues in every puzzle I make, but I guess I’m just getting ready/psyched/antsy for the season to start. Good times. Good times. Although, now that I look at it, there’s some tennis and baseball in there, too. The “E” in “BEQ” stands for “ESPN.”
Oh yeah, if there are any BEQ fans who are running any NFL Survivor Pools, and are looking for a few more participants, invite me.
One week left in the diagramless Kickstarter. It’s already been funded, so the fun begins at the end of the month. Get in now so you can get some discounts on some other swag today. And if we get enough backers, MOAR PUZZLES!
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Yeah that’s pretty tough 🙂 Can’t wait for my diagramless puzzles! You sure 9d shouldn’t be 68-69? 68/69 sounds more like a high A, or an A plus to me
Please explain how Peter Pan’s home is a bus depot???
Nice work getting in Azarenka the day she played! Never heard of sanddab or nepenthe but managed to get them from inferring surrounding entries. Tough but fair – great puzzle.

It’s the name of a bus company.
Peter Pan is a bus company in the northeast…
Pavarotti was famous for his high c’s. So you have to wonder if he ever made it up to HIGH D.
Nepenthe is also a restaurant on the ocean in Big Sur. One of the reasons for driving between LA & SF instead of flying.
Great puz!
Too many references made this an unfun pain.
Thank you! Being from the west coast, I just love references to obscure information specific to the northeast 😉
Thank you for the clarification – I was losing sleep over this clue :/
