THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Tabby decided that she would begin tackling the Times of London’s Listener crossword last week. I must have misplaced my copy, but no matter. She saw fit to go to town on it. Her hard work is captured above. Now, let me tell you: having spent a good number of weeks this year attmepting to solve these dastardly hard puzzles, I wouldn’t be surprised if in fact you were to use different colors (colours?) to extract the final thematic material. I’m chalking this one up as big win because Tabby seems excited about puzzles.
Speaking of puzzles, for today’s grid I attempted to make one like the ole’ Jesus himself: Patrick Berry. I started wth the chunky center and then found ways to stretch out into the SE and NW sections. In fact, I was mighty proud of pulling 17-Across outta thin air to keep the grid alive when I was making it. Hope you enjoy it.

Share the puzzle. New one on Christmas! (Where’d the year go?)
Nice puzzle. Lot of open space and a dearth of three-letter crap.
I think the clue for 43 Down in the AcrossLite version is meant to read “blank verse.” Good themeless.
