THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
PROGRAM: [Java]
It’s summer again, and once again it’s time to ask for some help from you the faithful BEQ followers. It’s June, so once again it’s time for the semi-annual BEQ Drive. This site chugs along thanks to the tireless support of fanatics like you. nd I know you want that little bit extra, and that’s where these drives come in. The regulars to the site know the drill, if you can throw in $10 to the tip jar to keep the site running smoothly, I scratch your back with two Sunday-sized puzzles: one themeless and one themed. It’s just like the weekly fare only bigger. The themeless puzzle is a doozy this year, in fact take a look at the grid right now:
Insane, huh? That northwest corner took forever, and then I had to do it all over again the southeast. But the only way to get your hands on it to solve it is to throw a little money into the Pay Pal jar. REMINDER: No one should ever feel obligated to tip, by the way. Only tip if you can. Some financial assistance is great, but the only way this site stops is when I drop dead. Not a day before then, you got me? However, it is the right thing to do to tip yr. constructor. So give if you can.
Thank you ahead of time. And, as a special bonus one randomly selected person will receive will receive one of my books as well as a complimentary year subscription to The AV Club.
Before I go: How about we relive an oldie but goodie in honor of the latest #1 movie in the country? Sounds good.
Share the puzzle. Hit the tip jar. New one on Thursday.
Naticked by 18D 24A.
Not really a natick as NAMECALLING is a common term.
But the singer and the texting initials aren’t – at least for a lot of people over a certain age.
I *still* don’t get 24A. I knew all the crosses so it just kind of worked out that way, but for the life of me I have no clue what the acronym stands for.
Too long – didn’t read.
Thanks. Never would’ve come up with that one…
hey, this was a heck of a grid. 62? yikes.
