The wait is over. The ACPT starts tomorrow. Okay, there’s another 24 hours of waiting to go, but you get my point. Then it’s on like Donkey Kong. So is Dan Feyer going to win it all again this year? Does Anne Erdmann finally take the crown? Maybe Tyler Hinman becomes king of the mountain again. Or, will a dark horse steal the spotlight? Your guess is as good as mine. And right now my prognostication skillz are abysmal. Just for an example, I’ve been saying spring will start any day now for weeks, and you can see how that’s working out. Anyway, good luck to any and all contestants.
This weekend is a bit of a BEQpalooza. I’ve got four puzzles featured prominently this weekend. One in the tournament, one in the Friday night Carnival of Puzzles, another in the unofficial AVXC extravaganza that we’ll be unveiling at the bar Saturday night after the official program is over, and lastly the Sunday New York Times puzzle. Whew. Enjoy.
To get us into the mood, I’ve reposted my puzzle from the last ACPT here. If you haven’t already, there’s still time to sign up, if not for the actual event then perhaps the play at home version. Get psyched. Looking forward to seeing y’all, so if you see me, please introduce yourselves.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Congratulations on the quadruple! You deserve it, as do those at the tournament. I won’t be there this year, but will get to see all but the Friday puzzles, as I subscribe to AVXC, and bought the at home ACPT. Thanks for a great website.
What’s this about an “AVXC extravaganza”?
