PROGRAM: [Java]
So after you’re done with today’s crossword (or maybe while you’re doing today’s puzzle, if you can multitask) why not listen to my man Ben Tausig’s interview on NPR? Ben’s always an interesting guy, so this interview doesn’t disappoint. When you’re done with that, why don’tcha sign up for his AV Club crosswords? You know I’m a contributing co-founding member, yes? Yes. All right then. Click away.
Small announcement: if you were thinking about giving your loved one a BEQ crossword puzzle for the holidays, the sooner you drop me a line, the better. I know, I don’t like the Christmas Creep phenomenon any more than you, so I hate to be bringing this up before Thanksgiving. But alas, my schedule is starting to get packed, so I must. Please forgive me. So yeah, don’t delay. Click away. Thank you.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Anyone with a cat on their shoulder is A-OK by me 🙂
The only problem with the younger constructors is they don’t realize that popular music reached its peak 40 years ago. No solver should be held morally responsible for not knowing anything beyond 1990 or so. 😉
Liked this one until the SE corner. Four names, one obscure by any measure (61A), one irrelevant (63A) and one pure inside baseball (69A).
Funny, I found 61A and 69A to be total gimmies. I will, however, agree with you about 63A
