Okay, comrades, when you’re done with today’s crossword I want you to go over to Australian puzzle maker Denise Sutherland’s website and enter her latest cryptic clue contest. Regulars to BEQ.com might remember that I reviewed her nice little book attempting to get the uninitiated into cryptic crosswords. Well, she’s giving away a couple copies for the best clues. So get to it, all right? You have until Monday. But since I have no idea what time it is in Australia right now. It might be Saturday for all I know. So, you’d better enter tonight.
Heads up, I will have this Sunday’s New York Times crossword which I’ll post here once it goes live. And now you know.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
UPDATE: One of the circles was in the wrong spot. It’s been corrected now.
UPDATE 2: The Visual Thesaurus puzzle is up here.
UPDATE 3:The New York Times puzzle is up here: [Across Lite][PDF].
The circle on 10D should be on 12D (Across Lite Version)
Fixed.
56D takes me back. You just can’t have a Soviet rocket without one.
My time comes with an asterisk.
I had no idea what to do at the intersection of 28D & 45A…I don’t read enough tabloids I guess.
29a. that is all.
