Ideas for themes and seed entries often hit me while I’m walking around town. I don’t know why that is as I’m usually doing something, anything, else non-puzzle related: taking Tabitha to the park, grocery shopping, you name it. I guess I really can’t turn the puzzle part of the brain off. No matter though, I’m usually pretty good about writing a note to myself capturing the idea. Though there are times that I have literally no idea what the notes meant: “3W — the cave” is a perfect example of recent incomprehensible gibberish. (If you can make sense out of that, email me.) Anyway, today’s theme was brought to you by Autocorrect. I was writing down a note for an entirely different theme, but Autocorrect had a funny switch of one of the words. And so, a theme was born.

Not to pick nits, but isn’t the plural of axis axes? Just axing.
Also, clue for 60 across should begin thusly: “My wife and I” not “Me and my wife.” Just saying. . .
RUN! It’s the grammar Nazis! 🙂 Fun breezy puzzle.
