You might be thinking that this gratuitous David Bowie photo would be in reference to the title of today’s puzzle. You would be wrong. I am posting this picture so I can have something to refer to whilst putting together Tabitha’s first Halloween costume.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
Ziggy’s alien baby? Love it.
31D always reminds me of Concrete Blonde when I hear it the news. “Gosh, she’s in politics too?!”
So, BEQ, is the puzzle’s title in reference to the name added to all the long answers or is it in reference to you rebelling against the standard 15×15 with this 14×15 grid?
Nevermind how I know this… but 10D should be “Danni” not “Danielle”. I’m just sayin’
Wow. I don’t comment often on ever-so-far-out-there entries, but… 16A and 34A? Only on beq.com!
Uh, BEQman, I think there’s an erratum in 10D. Looked really hard. Don’t think the stats are accurate. + I think the theme comes from the Bowie song “Changes” where he stutters on the first phoneme of the word. + You’re taking the lil BEQqer out on her first Halloween. What’s next? Toddlers n Tiaras? Where she solves XWPs instead of the regular inanity. Be nice for a change. + Heard Styx’s Come Sail Away while doing your handiwork. Don’t know why I’d bring it up but probably kinda puts things in perspective.
I’m scared to ask – what is Tabitha going to be for Halloween?
There are tons of cute baby Halloween get-ups. If Tabitha’s newborn hair has fallen out, she could wear a little sandwich board and go as BEQ… (Oh, SNAP! I’m sorry!! It was just too, too tempting!) We will need a fresh Tabitha story and photo next week. Babies grow amazingly quickly, do they not?
My source is nndb.com. Just sayin’.
