PRINTOUT PUZZLE: [ LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION]
PROGRAM: [Adobe Acrobat]
PROGRAM: [Java]
No Across Lite file today (although I guess I did make one for those who do the puzzle on Stand Alone’s Crosswords). Across Lite doesn’t allow for the non-traditional grids, yet Crossword Compiler exports it just fine as a Java app. Go figure. So if you need to check your answers, run the Java app and click “Solution.” If there are any Litsoft employees out there who are fans of this site: please update your code. For the most part (like 99% of the time) it’s a perfect program. It’s just for that 1% of the time when us puzzlemakers want to play with conventions that your reader sucks. Thanks! Your friend, BEQ.
I’ll let this puzzle do the talking. For those who like a little bit extra, here’s an instructional video about my band the Boston Typewriter Orchestra. So, with that, share the puzzle, and the video. New on one Monday.
Awesome puzzle, Brendan.
Speaking of BTO, you need to keep us updated on where you will be playing. I saw you (and briefly met you) in Providence a year-ish ago. Next time you are around (Hartford/Providence/Boston/the rest of the nation) let us know. I would love to buy you a pint for all the fantastic puzzles you give the masses.
I hope BTO never goes electric like Dylan did in 1965!
We have a few electric typewriters. And if we ever use them, feel free to yell out “Judas” at that concert.
Nice to see Tjinder and Ben. Still need to get their newest.
Fun one. But I don’t get 52A?
LAM…as in “to be on the lam…”
Puzzly awesomeness. Thanks! Last corner was rough (lower-left), but worked it out.
Only regret was the thin strip of dead tree used to solve it, but it was for a good cause. Ah well.
Was running that picture that too much of a giveaway?
For me, it was of the dead variety.
Abe Simpson— “Call me mint jelly, ’cause I’m on the lam!”
Right! (But skedaddle is a verb and lam is a noun, as far as I can tell. Guess it slipped by the editor.)
