Some Don Caballero to soundtrack your solving experience. Enjoy. Oh, and a tip of the cap to those out there who write for “Only Connect.” I found inspiration from one of your questions and ran with it for this puzzle. Enjoy.

In the 11-Down clue, “linesman’s” should be “lineman’s”.
The “linesman” is an official, the “head linesman,” renamed the “down judge” in 2017.
Loved it — I was stumped on the clue for 1A for the longest time and cracked up when I finally got it. Thank you, Brendan!
That bugged me too. The only other thing is that the third number in the fibonacci sequence is one. 0,1,1,2,3,5,8….
It’s useful to think about 0 as the 0th number of the sequence.
I’m not a big fan of themed puzzles, but I really liked this one. Too often the clueing and fill suffer for the sake of the theme, but not here. Good job BEQ, and thanks for yet another fun and challenging puzzle.
Correction made. Thanks, Brendan.
60a masterwork is technically the “magnum opus”.
Is that a new logo in the upper left of the printed puzzle? Nice!
Help me out. I still can’t get it!
Never mind. As soon as I asked for help I finally got it!
