THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
After being out of school for what seemed like an eternity, when in fact it was only six months, Tabitha finally began quote-unquote proper school again two weeks ago. Yeah, she’s doing it remote/on-line, and her office is now the dining room/kitchen area, so I can forget about making that extra pot of coffee should I need it. Genius at work here, Dada. Anyway, I digress. So yeah, she’s back at it, which is a Godsend. Comedy is though, a whopping (counts on fingers) eight days into this experiment, they already have a three day weekend. Good work hours if you can get it! So yeah, Yom Kippur means a three day weekend. Gotta get this post up and get Tab to a play date.
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year six have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
In yday’s NYT Magazine, there was this author everybody’s familiar with and i feel i have to make a fake quote here as if it would have come from him. CROSSWORD PUZZLES: a Conservative pastime overtaken by Liberals. His Date of Death is unknown but i’d think he’d live long enough to see the first crossword puzzles come out.
Efts are amphibians, not lizards.
Yup. I was coming here to make the same point. I frowned at this clue but I still enjoyed the puzzle a lot.
Interesting crossing of 38D with 36A. Was that intended as a comment on current affairs?
Don’t fret about your girl not having school on Yom Kippur. You’ll find it’s a fast day. 🙂
Once again, as always I nailed a Hard BEQ.
If it’s hard, I always get it. Fast.
I’ve worked hours on a Medium and never finished one. Ever.
Go figger
This page is still broken. The external link to the puzzle grid is not encoded https, so the grid won’t load on certain browsers (Brave running on Android One, for example). I can bypass the problem using an old desktop browser, but I doubt if many of those affected have this option.
You have a point.
Brendan, why doesn’t your server have port 443 open for secure browser communication? Did someone change the default port from 443?
Dear Bob,
Please stop stereotyping Mr. Quigley’s fans. I’m old and I love his puzzles as do all my friends here at Shady Pines Retirement Home. I also love my old PC. Bet I can print and solve his puzzles before you can even look at them on your newfangled devices. Would any of you kids like your old auntie here to print them out for you? Be a nice boy and I might even bake you some cookies.
G R O A N 🙂
