THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Who doesn’t love a joke like this? Behold the preposterous clue in today’s Financial Times crossword. Golf clap there, Zamorca. Zamorca is the setter. Though, I’m not quite sure it’s an &lit. Still! Still! Golf clap indeed. Made me laugh. Those who stumped, the answer is (rot13d): REEBEF
Looking for more puzzles? The Hub Crossword (Sunday puzzles by me and Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon) and Marching Bands year six have begun. So if that To Do list needs even more puzzles, you know what to do.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Put the wrong, probably more general and more familiar term in for 1A and it screwed me up for several minutes.
Good puzzle!
the answer is (rot13d): REEBEF no idea what either of those mean
And what’s “an &lit”?
Google is your friend here.
Here too
Realized what rot13 was yesterday, but how is the clue telling you it’s REEBEF (ERRORS) or that rot13 is being used?
so ERRORS is gotten by [t]ERRORS (taking the top off fears) so what is BEQ talking about with rot13?
So it strikes me BEQ used rot13 and REEBEF to prevent a spoiler.
Thanks for the help, BEQ. As always, you’ve been responsive and a great help.
