Back with our regularly scheduled themed puzzle on Thursday. I hesitate to say that this is one of my favorites from recently, as it always seems that when I say that, nobody else agrees with me. It’s kind of like one of those “What’s the sound of one hand clapping?” riddles. Only with puzzles. And if that gobbledegook makes even a little bit of sense to you, either we share a brain, or I’ll have some of whatever you’re smoking.
There is no lack of puzzles out there, but let me mention two from friends of mine. First off, a pay what you want suite of crosswords from Will Nediger. Ten crosswords, each with metas, then you do something with it at the end. Then, when you’re done with that, you can make some nice origami animals with the pieces of paper. Anyway, I’ve name checked Will a couple two three times lately, and why not one more time, eh? That “eh?” is because he’s Canadian, but we won’t hold that against him. Enough of my babbling, get it for yo’self.
Secondly, Eric Berlin has put together what he calls a set of socially distancing puzzles. I have no idea what that means, yet, but apparently it must be solved with a partner. I’m wondering if you’ve got a split personality, could you just do the puzzles by yourself? Regardless, Eric dropped a great book of variety puzzles last year, so I am pretty reasonably sure this is going to be more of the same. All money goes to charity, so no excuses.
While you’re picking those up, and if you haven’t already, please consider chipping in to the BEQ pass the hat summer drive. This isn’t a request to subscribe to the site. That’s not how any of this works. Every puzzle I post is free forever. Enjoy them until an asteroid hits Earth. But if you’ve been enjoying them please consider a tip, PayPal or Venmo (@TheBEQ) preferred. Two bonus puzzles go out to all who can chip in. Long form appeal here.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
