While we were in London the other week, we got into an Uber and the driver was listening to some radio station. The DJ on this station, the way he was talking sure sounded like he was going to drop some of the hottest new grime tracks, and I’m not gonna front. I was getting psyched. I was ready for some bangers. I love that stuff. Alas, the DJ played the above song (a solid one, mind you), plus a slew of other American hits. Felt unfortunate, really. A real missed opportunity. Now, what this has to do with today’s crossword is anybody’s guess.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
Spoiler: Isn’t 27D misclued? Immoral and amoral are different concepts, and someone or something that’s amoral isn’t necessarily wrong so much as unconcerned one way or the other…
Not trying to be pedantic, but if we can’t discuss clue-ing in the comments of a deeply niche crossword puzzle blog, where can we discuss it?
Overall great puzzle!
Agreed. That was misclued.
59D is running around about a mile from my house. Hillsborough NC is losing its mind over it, a la Li’l Sebastian from Parks & Rec. There are T-shirts…
In light of current tragic events……if a nevvspaper vvanted to do a special interests story on me, i got a stipulation that must mandatorily be follovved …..no mention of professional sports vvhatever. And note full vvell hovv often nevvspaper articles are featuring NYT-styled crossvord puzzle solversj, esp. as far as the NYT goes.
re: 59D – I suspect it wasn’t a “crossworder’s sense of humor”, but instead, the name of the river that runs through town. Lovely stream, may take a hike along it later today!
I didn’t get the letter at 48A/49D.
And the same for 45A/35D, but that was guessable.
Pretty sure “bairns” in Scottish means babies or children, not lasses. Lots of points for “urinals,” tbough!
Agree about amoral. it doesn’t mean wrong.
This cracked me up! I needed that laugh today!
