First day of school for Tabitha. Second grade! My how time flies. Third day of school for Liz. Third year in this teaching position! So golf claps all around. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to break out the Kleenex because I’ve got the sniffles. I just noticed that there is a deafening silence in casa de BEQ that is affecting my early-onset tinnitus. It’s a sad day all around.
Naw. Who’m I kidding? THE RETURN TO THE PUZZLE MAN MAN CAVE BEGINS RIGHT NOW! Woo-hoo! The king is back and has taken his rightful place on the throne. I’m so pumped right now, I’m thinking of having steak for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. With some steak as a midnight snack just because. And to celebrate this frabjous moment, I’m running my Boswords puzzle from this past summer’s tournament. Just because. Enjoy. Or re-enjoy if you’ve already done it.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
I don’t get the clue for 25A — at least with any definition of the word that I’ve ever heard of. Now … “Periodical for certain caregivees?” would have made sense to me.
Plural of “male nanny” is “mannies”.
A tad bit…is that a NY term? To me, it’s bad English.
Gotta be more to it than dat?
I knew “Ninsk” didn’t look right.
Thanks. I know it as a wee man; never heard of mannie in the nanny sense, and Google was no help.
It’s a Britishism that I have heard often here and have often used if only in the phrase “just a tad bit worried”.
