One of the challenges of puzzlemaking is coming up with another title when you’ve already got the perfect title … as an answer in the puzzle. I guess this is why the Times doesn’t title any of their six daily puzzles. Good luck coming up with titles for the weekend themeless puzzles. I tried that for a while, but it didn’t take too long before I adopted the “Themeless Monday” moniker. Much easier that way. Anyway, I digress. So yeah, I wanted to title my puzzles, and I can’t call any of them “Untitled” unless there was a reason for titling it that. So, it can be tricky when you’ve already used your best idea. It must be evocative of what’s going on, and preferably doesn’t just give away the game (though I have done that before, plenty of times). Hopefully this one works, but if you can come up with a better title, leave it in the comments.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
