THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
PROGRAM: [Java]
One of the many seed entries I used in today’s Themeless, debatably my favorite, had to be removed, er, postponed in order to make the grid work. Funny how that works, However, it was the case in today’s puzzle. While I was filling her up, I stumbled upon a much more interesting and unplanned answer (34-Down, if you care) that, frankly, I felt had to be in there. Anyway, with the “happy accident” locked in place, the only way the fill was going to work meant the removal of one of my seed entries. It’s like Kenny Rogers says, “you gotta know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em.” Anyway, hope you enjoy it.
Thanks to everyone who was able to give in the Summer 2014 Drive. The support was overwhelming. And, as promised, our randomly selected winner ofa copy of “Marching Bands” is Christine Lamut of Chicago.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
