THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
PROGRAM: [Java]
Reminder: this is the last week of the BEQ Summer Drive. Have no fear, the site will remain free. That’s right it costs nothing to get (at least) two free puzzles a week written by yours truly. In fact, you shouldn’t even feel obligated to pay if you don’t want to or can’t afford it. It’s a free country. It’s a free puzzle site. However, as a thank you for any and all contributors to the drive with a tip of $10 (or more), you will receive a bonus Sunday-sized themeless puzzle as a thank you. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE! I have been so stunned by the generosity this time around that I’m adding an additional Sunday-sized themed puzzle to all who were able to give. I repeat: Everybody who has given a tip of at least $10 in this summer drive will receive not only one Sunday-sized themeless puzzle, but will receive a a Sunday-sized themed puzzle as well. Phew. $10 measly dollars gets you a super-sized week of BEQ.com puzzles. And again one randomly selected donor will receive either one of my puzzle books or some random piece of shit I don’t want in my house any more as well as a year’s subscription to the AVCX puzzle. So please give. And thank you for the continued support.
Let the record show that the bonus themeless puzzle will be sent that day. The themed puzzle will be coming mid-July.
As for today’s puzzle, I was shocked that a certain entry has never been used in a crossword. So, I made a point to debut said answer. It is CAT. Okay, I lied, it isn’t CAT, but the answer is incredibly common. I’ll leave it up to the solver to deduce what said entry is. (No, it’s not 50-Across, but I’ve thought about including it Hirschfeld-style in all puzzles moving forward.)
Share the puzzle. Get the two bonus puzzles. New one on Thursday.
