THEMELESS MONDAY: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
PROGRAM: [Java]
Well, that weekend was interesting, to say the least. Here’s a pre-shoveling picture, but alas I don’t think it really captures the enormity of what the storm dropped on us. Regardless, ole Spaghetti Arms Quigley is still aching from digging things out, so I’m going to keep this short and sweet.
There’s still plenty of time left to enter the latest BEQ.com contest. What’s your excuse? Yeah, I thought so. Use today’s as a warm-up then get back there and crack that meta, okay? For whatever it’s worth, there’s more than a handful of clues I was particularly proud of in today’s offering. Pointing them out would just ruin them, though, so you’re on your own discovering them.
When you have a minute, why don’tcha head over to Neville Fogarty’s puzzle blog and tackle his first-ever cryptic. I found it light and breezy, therefore great for beginners who are interested in getting into cryptics. That is to say the clues are light on the charades and heavy on the anagrams. No matter. Neville’s another indie puzzler, so I gotta help my brothers in the struggle, you know what I mean?
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
