Here it is: the electrifying conclusion to “Ben Tausig Week” at BEQ.com. To help celebrate his latest book “Crosswords From the Underground,” Ben was kind enough to take part in a little contest. An, American Idol-ish contest, if you will. I wanted Ben to show off his ethnomusicology/karaoke skills, and he didn’t disappoint. You, the faithful BEQ.com followers sent in some truly wonderful suggestions. The judges (me, Liz and Ben’s wife Serena) adjudicated. Votes were cast, later recast when we discovered unopened ballots, scores tallied, and then Ben went off to the isolation booth to record our winners. (Click on the links below to enjoy Ben’s covers).
Grand prize goes to Caleb Madison of New Haven, CT, for his suggestion of Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know”. He will receive a copy of Ben’s book as well as a copy of my latest book “Sex, Drugs & Rock ‘n’ Roll Crosswords.”
Runner up, and a copy of Ben’s book, goes to Anna Vitale of Parts Unknown, MI Madison, WI. She requested Neneh Cherry’s “Buffalo Stance.”
Thanks for all who entered. If you didn’t win, click on the links above to get your own copy of said books. Or … come back on Thursday when I announce another contest wherein you can win my latest book.
Speaking of contests, the latest Visual Thesaurus contest puzzle is also up (winners receive VT t-shirts). Click here and get to it.
Share the puzzle. New contest puzzle on Thursday.
UPDATE: I have been alerted about the error. File’s changed now.
