If I may, I’d like to point out a few things some of my friends have done that I think are worth your time. Who doesn’t like pimping out their buddies? Nobody. That’s what friends/blogs are for.
For starters, I thought Trip Payne’s latest Times puzzle from this past Sunday was outstanding. One of those “wished-I’d-thought-of-that” gimmicks. Go do it here.
Next up, Patrick Blindauer is taking orders for his latest puzzle suite contest. I’ve done Pat’s two other suites and they were, unsurprisingly, full of the warped innovation that Pat’s puzzles tend to have. I have no doubt this year will be more of the same. Up for grabs is $100 Barnes & Nobles gift cards, not too shabby, methinks. So yeah, sign up now. Contest starts on December 15.
Lastly, a long-time friend of mine, Mike Fournier (that’s us back in 2002), had his first novel “Hidden Wheel” recently published. I realize it’s not puzzle-related, but if you’re coming to my site, and you like my puzzles, then Mike’s novel would be up your alley: tales of underground rock scenes, chess prodigies and seedy behavior. Please consider picking up a copy, will you? All proceeds will help him do a book tour.
Share the puzzle. New one on Thursday.
