AND ANOTHER THING: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
Those that know me know that I’m very much pro-cryptics. And those that know the landscape of the puzzlin’ world know that the U.S. has Very Few cryptic puzzle makers. I think I can count on my hand the number of those that do it semi-regularly. Sad, but here we are. Even sadder is that The Nation made the decision to kill their cryptic puzzle (boo) which at first blush looks like the North American cryptic is headed the way of the dodo bird. But, honestly, that’s ignorant thinking, becasse rising from those ashes Phoenix-like (see what I did there?) is Left Field Cryptics. Same world-class writing from those Nation cryptic setters Joshua Kosman and Henri Picciotto, only completely and 100% independent now. Which is as it should be, frankly. Now listen, I want to see those numbers of backers double, all right? So go here first to get a sense of how fricking amazing they are at this, and then support them o’er the Patreon. It’s money well spent, in my humble opinion.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
