WINTRY MIX: [ ACROSS LITE][ PDF]
PROGRAMS: [Across Lite] [Adobe Reader]
PROGRAM: [Java]
We had a “big” (cough, cough) winter storm this week, and yeah, I’m not going to front, it was capital-C Cold. But, as for the white stuff? Call it a dusting at best, at least for us Bostonians. We’re used to Hoth-like conditions. Anyway, since it’s cold outside, let’s dip back into the BEQ archives, shall we? Two winter puzzles for the price of one. (Legion of) Boom.
ANNOUNCEMENT: A couple Java solvers emailed me and asked, “what’s up with the app?” Unfortunately, it looks like the latest version of Java doesn’t work with Crossword Compiler (the program I use to make the Java files). I didn’t write Crossword Compiler, so I am in no position to correct this problem. Now’s as good a time as any to say I am in the process of redoing the whole website, and including Java in the relaunch isn’t part of the program. So, unfortunately, solving this problem isn’t a priority of mine. That said, if you still want to solve using the applet, click here and follow the instructions under “Workaround” and it should work for you. Or, you know, try solving in a different format. Thanks.
Share the puzzle. New one on Monday.
