Oh, the triple stack, or I guess in this case the triple triple stack. These babies used to be the thing that separated constructors. Now with computer assisted construction, they’re not so hard to make. Hard to make good quality puzzles? Well, sure, that’s a whole other ball of wax. Still, even with the computer assistance, I can’t pull off the three on top, middle and bottom with another 15 running through all of them. Maybe sometime in the future. But as of today, it’s a mystery how to pull those off.
Just sayin’, great NBA finals. Great outcome. Gotta love Dirk Nowitzki. Anyway, the whole thing reminded me of this great song.

Superb puzzle. I think it was more medium than hard since I was able to solve it without cheating.
I can’t resist a challenge.

(Yes, it’s computer-generated. No, it’s probably not very good.)
For some reason, I whipped through the bottom two stacks but took ages to get the top one done. Had more trouble with the long words and the short checks both.
Re 6D, I thought it was SUNNI but went online to confirm, and found the closest thing to “habit” regarding Sunnis was “haddith,” which is what Mohammad’s sayings are recorded in. Nothing about “habit.” Nevertheless, I enjoyed it.
Amazing BEQ puzzle except for that greyish-white stain in the NE.
@Alex The TripleStack was pretty good for a computer generated puzzle. Did you write the program?
Thanx for the XWP with the 3 rows of triple-stacked sesquipedalians. Incredible array.
Whoops, Matt Gaffney pointed out to me that RAINTREE COUNTRY isn’t actually anything (the movie is RAINTREE COUNTY). So I’ve re-filled the grid.

Not really. I just wrote a wrapper for a constraint satisfaction solver.
@Alex
CLIT BLACK? Googling that did not return anything about country music.
ha! well, it needs work …
Clit Black? Heh… The computer has a dirty mind.
But I liked the puzzle pretty well, even though it shocked my delicate sensibilities to the core.
The behavior of badgers differs by family, but all shelter underground, living in burrows called setts.
