There’s still time to enter the latest contest. Solve last Thursday’s puzzle and email me your answer answer in the subject line. Deadline is this Wednesday night, sometime. Two winners will receive a copy of “Sex, Drugs & Rock ‘n’ Roll Crosswords.” (Feel free to buy a copy if you can’t grok the contest). Now a few of you have emailed me to say they’re stumped. And lets be fair, this meta’s not easy. So if you’d like a hint, you can find the answer somewhere on this page. Good luck.
A couple other people have emailed and wondered when they were going to see more Tabitha. Ask and ye shall receive. The picture’s cut off a tad, so you’re just going to have to trust me when I say that Tabita’s latest lessons involve the joy of solving cryptic puzzles. For the super-observant, we’re looking at Kevin Wald’s puzzle in this free PDF book of NPL cryptics, which I highly recommend if you like cryptics and have a printer.
Share the puzzle. Enter the contest. New one on Thursday.
Wouldn’t have finished this in a dozen years. 19A’s answer was hard enough. Pairing it with that clue was as close to evil as you can come in crosswords.
Could someone explain the metaphorical whirlpool? Thanks.
looks like she got the right answer.
